Ears to You (ETY) Audiology Service: ETY will be returning to Mayne for two days on October 8th and 9th. The past two sessions filled up quickly, so if you are interested, call ETY at 250-449-1648 to make an appointment.
Dance Wellness Program: Dance Wellness on Mayne has been thriving over the summer through June, July and August. Word has traveled and we are now helping Pender Island’s Wellness team get dance wellness established there. On September 6 we will give a demonstration and Ceilidh in Dinner Bay Park. October 3 we will host a tea dance, and have invited the Victoria dance group.
Research on the mental and physical health benefits of social dancing emphasizes positive outcomes in older adults by improving balance, posture, gait stability, and cardiovascular endurance, while simultaneously stimulating cognitive function and reducing loneliness through meaningful community connection.
We also have a lot of fun. Smiling, laughter, encouragement, and verbally “checking in” occurs each week. Please join us on Sundays at 3 pm at the Agricultural Hall. Or come to one of our special events on September 6 or October 3. We are ready to welcome you.
Chiropractor: Dr. Andrew Chin, Gulf Island Chiropractic, will be at the health centre on the following dates. September 14th, November 9th, December 14th and January 11th. To book an appointment: Phone: (250) 537-9399.

Cridge Pharmacy is interested in bringing community pharmacy services to Galiano and Mayne Islands.
Here is a message from Jason Cridge, CEO and Founder of Cridge Pharmacy.
Hi Mayne islanders!
I'm looking at opening a pharmacy on Galiano and eventually Mayne. It would be VERY helpful if you would respond to this survey so we can determine if it would be viable! Thanks in advance!

Our pharmacy would be established on Galiano (Sturdies Bay), and depending on demand, would be open 5 to 7 days a week.
We would also deliver prescriptions to homes on Mayne daily as well (5 to 7 days a week, depending on demand).
Galiano gets a pharmacy, Mayne gets prescription delivery every day.
If both islands are busy, we'd open a pharmacy on Mayne as well.
What's the advantage for Mayne residents?
-Daily home delivery (especially important for acute medications, antibiotics, forgotten prescriptions)
-Over the counter medications
-Minor ailment prescribing (UTIs, birth control, eye infections)
-No added delivery fees
-Your pharmacy would be a 5 minute boat ride, vs hours spent on the ferry
Thanks for helping us bring pharmacy services to communities in need! - Cridge Pharmacy Team
