Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy is now available on Mayne Island!

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy that addresses issues related to the pelvic floor muscles, organs, and surrounding structures.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that span the bottom of the pelvis supporting the pelvic organs. These muscles play a crucial role in controlling bladder, bowel and sexual function.

Pelvic health can be impacted by pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, muscle strain, traumatic injuries, chronic pain, abdominal/pelvic surgeries and radiation treatment.

If you have problems with bladder or bowel control, pain in your pelvic area, feelings of heaviness, are pregnant or recently had a baby, or are undergoing or recovering from pelvic cancer treatment, you may benefit from seeing a pelvic floor physio.

If you have any questions about whether pelvic floor physio may be appropriate for you,
please contact Jodi
